      Delete
    4. No if applied through General then he will be considered in General only. If one have to get category benefit, he or she has to apply through respective category.

    5. As there is no reservation in HPAS for SC/ST but if someone applies through SC/ST category and gets first place amongest all. Will that person get HPAS rank or get out of the race and will have to content only with BDO? please clerify

      Delete
    6. He will be get HAS post. Category does not mean that he or she will not be applicable to get Unreserved Posts. Unreserved means all can fight for the those posts even if they have qualified in categories. Category means that those seats will be given to specific category related people. But if someone gets a seat in Unreserved then he or she will not be counted in category seat.

    7. well, I know one person called Navjot Sharma, who had apparently topped the exam with record marks but was forced to take BDO as he had applied for WFF quota and only BDO posts were reserved against that.
Same is not true for 'depressed classes' though.
